“Pen and paper, writing instruments”
This permanent exhibition, which forms part of the valuable collection of Michalis Kairis, introduces visitors to the instruments and all objects related to writing as they evolved from antiquity to the present day. . The exhibition also includes writing instruments used by nations in the Middle East, East Asia and North Africa.
The exhibition is educational in nature, mainly aimed at young people who did not have the opportunity to become acquainted with the oldest writing implements, but also elicits emotion from adults who remember their youth.
The exhibition also includes exhibits on writing for people with impaired vision, stenography, musical notation, correspondence and relevant objects (postal stamps, portable small desks, etc.), telegraphy, etc.
